At various times, Johnny Morrison (right) owned a restaurant. ice cream shop, and motel in downtown Grant. He owned a cottage at the end of Vanderstel Point which was frequented by his son Jimmy in the '40s and '50s. However, this picture is taken from the Lampert dock, the background being what is now the Cherokee zone.

The Morrison cottage, which can be readily seen from the public access, was purchased by the Telder family in the early '60s. Daughter Susie, with her husband Tom Wienczkowski, still live there. Other daughter Judy lives up the street on Vanderstel Drive.
