Opening Night Walleyes
Opening night of walleye season (this year at 12:00 a.m. on April 30th) is an annual occasion for the Deschaine family. At midnight, they descend on Bills Lake and fish until approximately 3:00 a.m. They know what they're doing as witnessed by the photos and the fact that they don't talk about where and how they caught them. In 2010, Karl (left) pulled in two, 22 inches apiece. This year, David caught one measuring 25 inches.
